WHY WAS I BORN?

Ecclesiastes 12:9-14

What person has not asked, “Why was I born?”  All of have question about this life we live.  Sometimes answers are looked for in the wrong places, and they only find more questions.

Some people look to drugs, only to become dependant on them.

Some people look to material possessions, only to find the need to update and/or replace them.

We deceive ourselves into thinking that man will successfully work out all of his problems.

God the Creator wants us to know the “why of life”, so He gave us a Book and then He gave us His Son to show and tell us about life.

Jesus came to bring abundant life (John 10:10).

Christ gives meaning to life. How does He do that?

  1. Christ Gives Us Purpose

Everything has a purpose, (Tools) God created man with a purpose. When we are fulfilling God’s purpose for us, things go well, but when we are outside of God’s purpose, things don’t go so well.

  1. Christ Gives Us Power

Christ, through His Holy Spirit, energizes the Christians with new power.  This takes place when one is “born again”.  The caterpillar is a hairy worm that cannot fly until it is born again as a butterfly.  We, too, are powerless until we are “Born Again”.

  1. Christ Gives Us Pardon

The think that keeps us from God is sin….Sin Separates…Romans 3:23…Christ freely give pardon from sin (Romans 6:23) His blood paid the price for our sin. (John 3:16)

In order to have a purpose in life, have peace in life, have power in life, and receive a pardon from sin, we are to turn our life over to God.

What am I to do in life as a Christian?

Psalms 34:1 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

The very last verse in the book of Psalms reads like this:

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, Praise the Lord!” (Psalms 150:6)
