WAYS TO STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH
Philippians 4:11-13
Paul starts off in verse 11 by saying that he has
learned to be continue in all of his circumstances. In verse 12, he
shares the circumstances of being humble, rich, being filled or
going hungry…
Then Paul shares how he has learned to do this….
His faith has been strengthened.
Let’s look at four ways to strengthen our faith
today..
-
Consider its Preeminence –
Through Him – faith is through
Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8 – “For it is by grace that you
have been saved through faith; and that
not of yourselves, it is the
gift of God.”
Faith is also the way that we receive from
God…Philippians 4:19
-
Cherish its Privilege
Faith cannot be both or earned….it is God’s FREE
Gift to His children. In Ephesians 6:16, we “take up the Shield of
Faith” for a reason…”to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” It is given to you to take up…cherish it…
***In order to strengthen your Faith, you must
put it to use.
James 2:17 says, “Faith without works is dead.”
Are we sitting down on our faith and not using
it? Then it is “dead faith”.
-
Comprehend its Power
Paul says, “I can do all things” – After taking
up the shield of faith in Ephesians 2:16, he says, “wherewith ye
shall be able.”
Faith releases the omnipotent power of God in
your life. It enables us to live victoriously and effectively for
God.
-
Cultivate the Possibilities
Paul says, “ALL Things”..
By faith through Him I can do all things. That’s
a lot of possibilities. Faith in Him can handle “all” problems.
Mark 11:22 says,
“And Jesus answered saying to them,
“Have faith in God.”
