WHAT IF IT WERE TODAY?

John 12:35-36, 46

 

 

For a little while longer the light is among you. (Speaking of His death)  Jesus is the Light that is among them at this time.

Let’s take a look at the phrase “A little while longer”. We do not know when our time on earth will end.  While in this “little while longer” life span, we need to be doing two things that are mentioned in this passage.

 

  1. Verse 36:  “While you have the light, believe in the light in order that you may  become sons of light.”

          Key Word – “Believe” – Several times in Scripture – John 3:15, 16, 18, & 3:36.

 

  1. Verse 35: “Walk while you have the light, that darkness may not overtake you; he      who walks in darkness does not know where he goes.

 

****Take note of these statements:

    1. You must believe in the light before you can walk in the Light.

    2. As you walk in the light, you will behold the Father Who sent Christ, the Light.  Jesus said in verse 46:

                   “I have come as light into this world, that everyone who believers in Me may     

                    not remain in darkness."

                       

 

Personalize John 3:16 to read like this:

For God so loved “me” the He gave His only begotten Son,

that if “I” believe in Him, “I” shall not perish,

but have eternal life.

 

 

 

If Jesus were to come for the church today, would you go with Him,

or be left behind?

 

 If the answer is “left behind”, change it today.

 

Believe in Him (Jesus) and walk with Him today and have no regrets tomorrow…
