PRAISE THE LORD
Psalm
148
Who is to praise the Lord? The “whole” creation.
We will take a look at the order of praise that
is given in this Psalm.
WHO (vs. 1-12)
-
Praise the Lord from the Heavens (1-6)
-
Heights
-
Angles
-
Hosts
-
Sun & Moon
-
Stars
-
Highest heavens and waters above the heavens
Let them praise the name of the Lord….why?
Because God commanded and they were created. He established them
forever and ever.
-
Praise the Lord from the Earth (7-12)
-
Sea Monsters
-
Fire and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds
-
Mountains and all hills
-
Fruit trees and all cedars
-
Beasts, cattle, creping things and fowl
-
Kings, princes, judges, and all people of the earth
WHY (Vs. 13-14)
Then God gives the reason for the praising of the
Lord’s name.
-
His name alone is exalted. His glory is above
all earth and heaven.
-
Acts 4:12 says, "And there is salvation in no
one else; for there it no other name under heaven that has been
given among men by which we must be saved.”
Now we see and understand why the Name of the
Lord is to be praised..
Praise Ye The Lord!!
