BETTER THINGS FOR YOU

Hebrews 6:9-20

I am convinced that God has better and bigger things in store for you.  There are better things in store in the things that belong to salvation!

I understand that we all want better things in life today….houses, cars, play things, a job, money……etc..

In order for us to better ourselves today, we need to understand how God works on His end of the deal.

Three principle of God’s business of blessing you:

1.  God is not unjust to forget the work you have already done.  God remembers the love that you have shown in your ministry of the past.

Can you remember a blessing that you received years ago for doing  something out of love for someone else?  That blessing came from God because of your love for Him and His name, and not because of self, just dong whatever you did for someone.

2.  We are to continue working and ministering to the Saints.

We are to show diligence in His work until the end. The hope that we have is not a 10-15 or 25 year contract with God and then it stops; neither is our working for God.  The Bible says in verse 12b that we are not to be sluggish in our work, but to be imitators of those already gone before us.

3.  Understand that it is impossible for God to lie.

a.    If God says that you are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, then it is so. Ephesians 1:13

b.    If God says “I will bless you as long as you serve Me”, then believe that it is true.

c.    If God says that this hope that we have is both “sure and steadfast, and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner”, then believe it is as said.  God cannot lie.

Abraham waited patiently and obtained a promise form God.  In verse 14, God said to Abraham, “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.”

God promises to do the same for you and me today, but we must patiently and diligently endure to the end and not give up on Him.

We can’t shut up, sit down, or give up if we expect to be a blessed people of God!

We must stand up, open up and move forward to receive His blessings..
