Pray

Are there days when stress and strife
Keep you from your knees?
Do past unanswered prayers refrain
You taking Him your dreams?

Do you forget to give Him praise
When days elapse with ease?
Or does your head only bow,
In prayers laden with pleas?

If so, my friend, I've got good news!
Our God, He loves you so
He understands your trials and sins
His mercy, He bestows . . .

He knows that Life, and Satan's plans,
Cause stumbling ~ and some falls
Compassion's hand will rescue you
He's with you, all along

At times, His answer may seem naught
His silence keeps you still
Be strong and know that tests will come
So that your faith is built

His grace forgives your errant ways
His peace conquers your fears
The torrent raining of His love
Will take the place of tears

Regardless of mistakes you've made
His grace, thus overdrawn
Take comfort in the knowledge of
Your prayers reaching His throne!
