Within this web site you will
find resources that can help you with your growth as a Christian,
however there are four basic areas that are vital after salvation.
Those areas are: Baptism, Prayer, Bible Study and Fellowship.
BAPTISM:
Although Baptism is commanded
to the believer, is not to be confused with the salvation process
itself. We are not saved by being baptized…. Baptism is simply
the outward sign of the inward change. We are “buried in the
waters of baptism, and raised to walk in newness of life”.
(Romans 6:1-4) Just as Jesus was “buried in the tomb, and He
rose, defeated sin and death so that we could have eternal life,
so we make our profession of faith, following the example that He
made for us. (Mark 1:9 - At that time
Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in
the Jordan)
PRAYER:
Prayer is our best form of
communication with God.....as well, it deepens our relationship
with Him and provides an avenue of continual growth for us.
You will find a complete study for prayer on this web site by

BIBLE STUDY:
Bible study is critical to
your understanding God and His plan for your life. The Bible
is very clear on this fact.....2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to "study
to show yourself approved"....Other scripture that tell us of the
importance of God's Word are:
2 Timothy 2:15, I Peter 2:2, Psalm 119:11, Romans 15:4, Psalm 119:105, Psalm 1:1,2
A great place to start would
be reading the book of John. This is the fourth book of the
Gospel and is in the New Testament.
FELLOWSHIP:
Fellowship with other
believers is also important to healthy growth.....one important
way of doing this is to join a local body of believers, that being
a local church. (If you would like help in finding a local
fellowship, just email us and we will do what we can to help you)
Again, there are scriptures in
the Bible that deal with the importance of fellowship....
Hebrews 10:25, Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:19, I Corinthians 12:12
and
I Corinthians 12:25-27
While there is much more to be
said about each of these areas, our purpose here, is to only
introduce you to the need for each one to become a part of your
daily living as you grow closer to Christ. God bless you and
you pray, study and grow....... |
